Managed to finish Sergeant Assaults this week and did the rank up quest. 2 tries for part one, 3 for part two, and 4 for part three　(´・ω・｀)

Soloed some stuff today to recap RNG xp. Managed to die twice despite bringing bloody bolts for HP recovery. Got R3's from cat friends, so I still ended up ahead in xp. I got too spoiled soloing on SAM. The difference between B and E evasion is VERY noticable. Para and blind effects from Kasha and Yuki also make things a lot easier.

Even though getting to the BC is a pretty major pain, getting the AC back was pretty damn fun. We didn't really know what to expect when we began, so the first run got off to a shaky start, and we ran out of time after reraising. We got the BLM dead, and the RNG down to about 11% the second run, but again, ran out of time. On third run, we entered to find the BLM and RNG both at 33%, and I couldn't hold the RNG like I had been doing previously because it changed from stand and shoot mode to run up and melee mode. Funky hate and some missed stuns kinda did us in, so those of us who could raised up and exited. We got ready to try again, but for some reason we couldn't get the key items to drop again(I'm suspecting you need at least one person to have Sanction on, and at that point we'd been down there for a couple hours, and I think everyone's sanction had worn), so we decided to take a break. We got some people together and headed back out there after Limbus, and managed to get all 3 Lamia dead without too much trouble. I managed to die once, and had some fun kiting while weakened, but utsu saved me more than once. It was pretty tiring, but felt pretty good knowing we took them from 100>0 by ourselves.

Was too busy running around to get any caps of the BC, but just imagine that shiny white/gold thingy that holds the AC in the hall of binding, except in a cave with 3 Lamia guarding it.

Also managed to get SAM to 68 working my ass off in a 5k/hr pt. Starting to get a bit tiresome/repetitive, especially when I have to pull, and spam TP macro to get SC off when the WAR sits with 100+ TP for half the mob. The best is when he failed to turn it with his 200dmg Rampage, but by then I usually have 250ish TP and manage 500ish SA Gekko from the front anyway(lol). Nothing new gear-wise til 70, and then Kasha at 71, so at least I have something to look forward to.

Grades for last semester were released this past week. I finished a lot stronger than I expected. Something like A-, B+, B, B or something, so I'm pretty content, especially since I missed more than a few assignments in the A- class, but I suppose the quality of the ones I turned in balanced it out. Haven't really been doing much since summer started, besides going to a few BBQs, but it's been too hot lately to drive around w/o AC. Maybe I should go to movies everyday or hang out at the mall >.>

Drove my cousin Ro's Z the other day, and it was really fun. Managed to stall it in my driveway, and again a couple blocks down the road - yah I suck. Always takes me a couple times thru the gears to get used to other peoples' clutches. Hell, I used to stall Arden's old Accord whenever I drove it.

I'll always love turbos, but there's just something really gratifying about driving an N/A car with abundant power. Having driven 4-bangers all my life, the Z has something I'm not used to - torque. It just pretty much wants to go as soon as you engage the clutch and throttle up. Power delivery through the 6-speed and Nismo LSD is solid, and the driver controls are exactly where you'd expect them to be. The steering wheel is the perfect diameter and provides just the right amount of feedback. Ro had complained about his OEM shift knob being too tall, and after driving with the Nismo one he replaced it with, I would have to agree. The urethane Nismo knobs sits much lower, and feels pretty much perfect.

The Nismo Track suspension is pretty dead-on too, at least for spirited street driving. I'm used to having my spine shaken about over every little dip in the road while driving my car, so I always feel really...numb riding in cars with stock suspension. This wasn't the case with the Z - I could still feel the road, but there wasn't any of the unsettling jarring that occurs when I hit a big dip in my car. Ro was complaining about the Brembos being a bit noisy, but they do an excellent job of bringing the (moderately rotund) Z to a halt.

In spite of all its strengths, perhaps the one thing that might be considered a weakness is the moderately obstructed view out the rear hatch. I'm used to driving with ricer wide rearview mirrors because I like the extra visibility, but the viewing angle out the rear hatch glass in the Z is so narrow that even one of those multi-panel Nascar mirrors probably wouldn't help. All in all, it's a great car, and I'm glad he finally got the car he wanted. I got some kinda intake for him since I kinda flaked out on his bday and xmas gifts. Should be fun to put it in over the weekend.

Put off classwork until the last minute again yesterday - nothing new. Knocked out 2 shortish papers between midnight and 5AM, and still managed to get a 2.5hr nap in before getting ready to leave for class. Experimented writing the kanji Minato Sensei found for my name in Tensho style(seal script), but someone decided it was a good idea to have a campus-wide fire drill 20 minutes before the end of class so I didn't get a chance to clean my brushes or suzuri. We're carving our hanko on thursday, which looks to be pretty problematic given the difficulties I sometimes have just writing the charatcers(especially in Tensho style). Which reminds me - I have to kneed and divide up the hunk of clay I got so I can set it out to dry out partially. I was pretty much braindead the rest of the day, although I did manage to stay awake for most of Shimazu's class. Passed out when I got home as per usual.

Logged in to find everyone doing random stuff, so I swapped on SAM gear to seek for a bit before deciding to do the solo Mineshaft ENM since it was up again. Got all the way out there, ate a riceball and went in only to have POL crash soon as I entered. Logged back in and got booted out to the exit side of the BC. Apparently the BC icon isn't represented correctly in the new color icon pack or something. Great. Didn't really feel like xping much after that, so I swapped back to WHM and ran some random quests around Afghanistan, and managed to finish getting portal thingies for Assault and soloed the Chigoe NM for the map of that Caedarblarggargh place as pantless BLM. Used 4 of the 6 meripo I got in meleeburn yesterday to finish crit hit upgrade. I'll probably finish WHM merits now and then save them for something stupid like MP upgrade.

Settled back into juggling a bunch of different anime at once since I finished the last half of Gundam SEED Destiny in 2.5 days. Some random thoughts:

-Started watching The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi, and it's pretty funny. 　
-Decided to give .hack//ROOTS a try, but I passed out halfway thru the first ep, partly because I was really tired and partly because it was kinda boring. Visuals were really nice though, might give it another try when I have some spare time.
-A decent amount of people seem to like Shakugan no Shana, so I watched the first ep. It wasn't bad, but nothing really piqued my interest too much.
-Watched the first ep of Himawari and wasn't too impressed.
-They kinda breezed over the whole "method to regain mana" thing in Fate/Stay Night a couple eps ago, but I guess they couldn't stay too true to the game. The Saber/Berserker fight last ep was pretty rad, and Ilya is less annoying now that she no longer has a servant. I guess Gilgamesh is coming up next.
-The second season of the AMG TV series seems to be more of the same, which is fine with me.
-Utawarerumono is still pretty interesting, even with the relatively slow pacing. I wonder how long until the tiger cub gets growns up ('◇')ゞ
-Strawberry Panic still manages to keep my attention, although the unrelenting yuri vibe will probably wear me down pretty soon.
-Magikano and Amaenaideyo Katsu are still semi-guilty pleasures, but they're both funny and I genuinely enjoy them.
-School rumble 2nd Semester is apparently only going to run for one cool(13 eps) :\

Only managed to get a couple hours of sleep in yesterday before stumbling over to my chair and loggin on. Found out LS had cleared Dynamis-Bubu, grats guys. Ran CN escort quicklike with Ganks before settling down for some hot afk-seeking action on SAM. Got an invite from a PLD to a pt in Onzozo and made my way out there with the hopes of making at least the 3.5k or so I needed to level. Popped an oil/powder and headed toward the camp tunnel when sneak started wearing about halfway there. So I went to click off sneak and pop another oil/powder and started off on my way again. Strangely enough i got another sneak wearing message not 2 steps out of the tunnel I had stopped in and managed to train 3 Mushushus, 2 Mantas, and died in front a Torama about 50 feet from camp.

Luckily the WHM had R2, so it wasn't too bad. After I got raised, I looked up in the log and noticed sneak never cancelled even though I clicked it off. I had noticed something earlier while doing escort - I had sever "no effect" stoneskin casts when I tried to click it off midcast like I usually do. I guess this a glitch since the update, since I noticed the same thing with sneak again today. Anyway, the xp was pretty slow and the pt ended after an hr with me @587 or so. Threw seek back up and decided to solo some of the EP mobs in Onzozo to kill time/get my level. Called my good buddy Raka which sped up kills and shortened downtime a lot. Managed to SATA Yuki on her a couple times and almost got her killed D; After half an hr or so, I took seek off and played with Raka until she left, which got me about 275xp into 61.

Got back to town and sorted my gear before swapping to WHM and logging out at camp. Took a shower and finished the night watching some anime til I passed out again. Woke up late for camps today, but found out there was a maintenance so I started checking around to see if any places had Afghanistan in stock. Stephen came over to shoot the shit for a bit and we found out the GMall Gamestop got their shipment in and headed down there only to find out they only had enough for preorders. Had some steaks at D&B before heading home to poke Faf. Stephen informed me the Sunnyvale Fry's had Afghanistan in stock so I drove out there, and sure enough they had several shelves worth. Install went pretty smoothly, even with the 14k file check. I guess nothing new is open until later on, so it's time for solo 60 ENM for some buffer.

Put off writing my paper til the last minute again yesterday, and with maintenance fun that meant I didn't get started til well past midnight. Even then, I sat around watching random shit and listening to music for a couple hours before writing anything but the title. It wouldn't have been so bad if it was just a paper, but I had to present on the same topic, so I pretty much wrote it as I would've said it, but in で/である体. I managed to skip class for last week's presentations, so I just assumed I would need the usual visual aids and whatnot, so looking for those took up a couple hours. Was up all night, but managed to get it done and skipped my first two classes so I could take a 2hr nap and not be completely braindead. Still ended up mostly reading off my paper, but all in all, it went over relatively well. I guess people aren't big on visual aids these days, since I was the only one who brought any. Walked over to the EB Games across the street from campus to see if the had Treasures of Afghanistan in stock, but nerdboy hissed at me,"that doesn't come out til tomorrow", so I made my retreat. Came home expecting to sneak a quick nap before camps, but I guess there was a maintenance today so it's Pillow NM time.

P.S. Started watching Last Exile since I watched all the GSD eps I had and the batch I'm getting is going slow as fuck. So far, it's pretty interesting. Vanships look kinda dorky, but the visuals are nice, and the setting seems pretty intriguing. Got up to #4 and discovered that it was corrupted. Looks like it got mixed up with a bunch of mp3s the last time I did a largescale HD sweep/transfer(most likely back when I was running 98 and switched to xp). Anywho, instead of LE#4, it was about 3hrs of songs I'd forgotten I had.
